This is a 4-day camp that will introduce your child to all of the adventures of Summer Camp.  Each day, the campers will be involved in a variety of activities including water sports, arts and crafts, backyard games, hiking, s’mores and more!  The experience of summer camp in your own backyard!  Camp Rockford is conveniently located off Summit Ave between 12 & 13 Mile Road on Rector Road.  For campers entering grades 2^nd – 6^th.

Experience the magic of glass! Learn the basics of glass fusing and proper use of glass cutting tools. Create different effects by layering colored glass, and take your creativity to the next level by making a piece of glass jewelry. Two projects will be created in this class. You will have the option of making a plate, bowl, plaque, or trivet along with a piece of glass jewelry or ornament. These projects will make perfect gifts for Mother’s Day, teachers, or to proudly display in your own home! No prior glass cutting or fusing experience necessary. Ages 12 to adult, Begins April 26, 2012.  Thursday Afternoons for 3 weeks, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. at North Rockford Middle School.

Learn the art of weaving on an inkle table loom. Learn to weave scarves, belts, bookmarks, keychains, straps and more. You will learn to set up and weave bands that can be used for many things. Bring your own loom or use one of our looms during class. This is a great way to try the ancient art of weaving.  Instructors:  Jane Turner & Jodi Fedeson.

Breakdancing or "Breaking" is a dance known as a street dance. Street dance is a term that describes a style of dance that originated in a place outside of a normal dance studio. Our class will focus on the fundamentals and foundation of breaking, Toprock, Drops, Footwork, Freezes and Power moves. We will learn the basic rhythm patterns of music, and of course have fun!
